Facing a man in great need, instead of looking at him with compassion, the scribes and Pharisees looked with criticism at the One they knew could help him, with their only concern being whether He would follow the program of their system. As we look at this, may God check our hearts for and cleanse our hearts from such legalistic cruelty.
