We must follow our Lord into the confrontation between the truth and the lie. In this passage, we need to learn from our Lord as we follow Him into this specific confrontation that He had with the Pharisees. We need to understand where their scoffing was really coming from and where all scoffing is really coming from as God sees and speaks the truth.
